Indic Lectures — session notes · Indic Warriors lecture series
Political freedom arrived in 1947; narrative freedom did not arrive with it. This lecture maps the machinery by which a colonized account of India — of its history, capabilities, and worth — outlived the colonizers: the curriculum that carried it, the prestige economy that rewarded it, and the reflexes it installed so deep that they now feel like personal opinion.
The session’s method is diagnostic rather than resentful: participants trace one inherited belief of their own back to its source, and test it against evidence. The lecture closes with the discipline of replacement — not swapping one dogma for another, but rebuilding judgement on primary sources and honest comparison.
Attend or revisit: session schedules and recordings are announced on the Indic Lectures page; related reading grows on the Indian Knowledge Systems shelf.
