Indic Lectures — session notes · Indic Warriors lecture series
Artificial intelligence learns a civilization from whatever that civilization has put online — and for India, what is online is disproportionately what others wrote about her. This lecture works through the consequences: AI systems that repeat colonial-era framings by statistical default, heritage questions answered from secondary sources, and the quiet disappearance of anything undigitized.
The constructive half is a programme: documentation as a civilizational duty (our own heritage-mapping work is offered as a case), source digitization, and the discipline of publishing primary-source-grounded material where the machines — and the students using them — will actually find it.
Attend or revisit: session schedules and recordings are announced on the Indic Lectures page; related reading grows on the Kashi & Living Heritage shelf.
