Vasanta College for Women is one of Varanasi's oldest institutions of women's higher education, founded in 1913 by Dr. Annie Besant and administered by the Krishnamurti Foundation India. Set on the serene Rajghat Fort campus above the Ganga, it is admitted to the privileges of Banaras Hindu University, NAAC-accredited and ISO-certified, teaching undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and diploma programmes across faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Education and Commerce.

Annie Besant's educational work in Kashi seeded the college in 1913; it later came under the Krishnamurti Foundation India, whose reflective educational philosophy still shapes campus life. The college houses a J. Krishnamurti Study Centre and the Annie Besant Centre for Skill Development, joining academic study to the contemplative ethos of Rajghat. Its degrees are conferred through Banaras Hindu University.
