Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is BHU's constituent women's college, providing undergraduate and postgraduate education on the main campus since 1929 — arts, science, home science, music and allied streams — with its own hostels, library and student life inside the university's educational township.

Founded in the Malaviya era to open university education to women — decades before it was common in north India — MMV grew from a small women's wing into a full constituent college.
